Mitchell, James V., Jr. – Counseling and Values, 1983
Examines whether the major dimensions of human value systems can be empirically defined in terms of nature and possible influence. Subjects (N=171) completed the Life Values Inventory and Personal Values Inventory to assess terminal and instrumental values. Factor analysis yielded eight basic dimensions of the value domain.
