Black commuters in this study, as compared to white commuters, tended to be older; to be married; if female, to travel further; to spend more time and money to commute; and to receive lower grades. Blacks were also more interested in day care; a place to change and stay overnight. (Author)

Teachers, as referral agents, and nonprofessional child aides, as interventionists, rated 709 children seen in a school-based mental health program. A survey of 137 older persons from the mailing list of a multipurpose senior center found that participants and nonparticipants in the center's activities did not differ in terms of their life satisfaction.
