Four hundred and twenty-six randomly selected Ontario secondary school teachers rated 75 subject teaching positions on a prestige status scale. Academic subjects were accorded highest prestige, followed by commercial, then technical. Higher prestige was accorded by interacting teachers than by non-interacting teachers. (Author/JB)

Examined the athletic expectations of high school male athletes (N=386). Results showed that 36 percent of the Black starters and 14 percent of the White starters expected to become professional athletes, although other data indicate only 2 percent will succeed.
