This study explored the differences in vocational maturity, academic aptitude, and achievement variables among female sorority students who made congruent, incongruent, and undecided occupational choices. The findings suggest that students in the congruent female group tend to be more vocationally mature. (Author)

Racial differences in membership in and attendance of voluntary associations were analyzed for comparable samples of 753 black and 260 white residents of Philadelphia age 65 and over. The results of the regression analysis indicated the black aged belonged to more associations than the white aged and had higher rates of attendance. (Author)

The effects of exposure time to descriptive and modeling instructions on level of self-disclosure in an interview were assessed. It was found that subjects' level of disclosure increased as a function of length of modeling but not as a function of length of descriptive instructions. (Author)

This study examines the effects of modeling influences upon social drinking behavior. Male college students classified as heavy social drinkers were assigned to one of six groups in a 3 x 2 factorial design. The effect of humor in the classroom was explored by comparing the performance of third and fifth grade students who worked on a humorous test with that of students who worked on a nonhumorous test. Humor depressed third graders' performance but had positive and negative effects on fifth graders' performance. (Author)
