This article briefly describes the Aesthetic Eye Project, a federally funded inservice program of the Los Angeles County Schools. It also explains the concept of aesthetic perception developed by the project and discusses how this concept can be applied to unified arts teaching and the teaching of basic skills. (SJL)

As part of a course in professional issues, RN students who were enrolled in a baccalaureate nursing program examined and described the intellectual and emotional strains of their transition to the BS program. Presents counselor role expectations registered by teachers in 1972 and 1980 from two school systems. Results showed teachers were more certain of the counselor's role in 1980, although 35 percent were still undecided. More in 1980 viewed the counselor as ineffective and thought the counselor had an easier job. (JAC)

Uses the concept of collusion to explain the formation and persistence of patient-caretaker dyads which may help explain the role of family dynamics in cases of chronic pain. Suggests the caretaking role may be extreme and contibute to the maintenance of a chronic pain role. (Author/JAC)

In a theoretical and philosophical discussion, the author examines the results of two drawing exercises he used with elementary students.
