Four variations of the thought stopping technique were applied to a color naming obsession. After 17 treatment sessions the frequency of this obsession had decreased by 95 percent, and a month later it was entirely absent. It did not recur in the course of a seven month followup period. (Author)

The data revealed significant interactions between locus of control and field dependence. As predicted, internal field independent Ss scored highest on all measures. Peer social interaction in the first year of life (8-10 months) was examined with regard to (1) the content of the interaction and (2) the effects of partner familiarity on the interaction. Results show that familiarization positively affects peer social interactions. (Author/MP)

Tested the discrimination of the MMPI Beall-Panton escape index by applying it to a sample of minimum security incarcerated female felons. The index did not differentiate significantly between escapees and nonescapees. Differentiation between the groups did occur when MMPI clinical and validity scales were considered separately.
