All educators need information to make good decisions. Surveys of teachers and education majors reveal that one of the best international databases available, ERIC, is overlooked as an information source. Examines news magazine accuracy by asking individuals who have been quoted in stories about the accuracy of the quotations. Finds that more than 90 percent of the stories examined were considered accurate by the sources. (FL)

Scientific elitism must be viewed as a multidimensional phenomenon. Ten variables of elitism are considered and a principal components factor analysis is used to scale this multivariate domain.
