At Toledo Hospital, family practice residents have assumed responsibility for the normal obstetrics clinic. Specialty consultations are provided by the hospital's obstetrics residency program. The performance of psychiatric residents with various lengths of medical primary care internship during their first year of residency training are compared. A Medical University of South Carolina study assessed the appropriateness of care provided by medical residents by comparing written protocols with student compliance.
