Four methods of computing life change for one- and two-year periods were tested with two measures of college grades. The relationship between life change and grades appears to be that of a threshold effect. Above a certain level of life change, increasing change is inversely related to grades. (Author/BW)

The study assessed Holland's theoretical signs of consistency and differentiation as measures of academic aptitude and achievement. Findings show significant differences on SAT scores for the sign of differentiation, none for GPA over a four year college period, and none on SAT or GPA for the sign of consistency. (Author)

Demographic factors, prepharmacy academic performance, and Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) scores were considered in relation to academic performance as measured by the first-professional-year grade point average at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Explored the relationship of time of withdrawal to students' academic enrollment and performance using a follow-up procedure with 469 undergraduates.
