This study evaluated the use of video production supplements in an upper-level applied microeconomics course. The presentation mode was interactive viewing. College students enrolled in a microeconomics course enthusiastically responded to the use of interactive video tapes. The tapes varied in length from 5 to 40 minutes and covered all the major topics in the course. The advantages of an interactive video program are discussed. (RM)

Providing students in a personalized system of instruction course with a pacing contingency for a portion of the course was found to help students better manage their time and organize their study behaviors. (RM)

Evaluated a drug education course for 237 junior high school students which included decision-making skills, assertiveness training, and drug information and alternatives. Comparison of experimental and control groups showed the course had no significant effect on girls and only a few effects at follow-up for boys. (JAC)

An applied course designed to allow students to formulate pharmacokinetic recommendations individually for actual patient data and compare their recommendations to those of a pharmacokinetic consulting service is described and evaluated, and an objective student evaluation method is outlined. Results of a study on the status of basic instruction show that physical education remains a viable part of the general education curriculum at the higher education level.
