Peer reviewedFeil, Edward G.; And Others – Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, 1995
A functional screening and identification system for behavior problems among preschool children, ages 3 through 5, was assessed with 2,853 children from regular and special education preschool and kindergarten classrooms in 8 states. Peer reviewedCotton, C. Randy; And Others – Death Studies, 1995
Assessed the reliability and validity of Cole's four-item version of the Suicidal Behaviors Questionnaire (SBQ). Clinical outpatients and undergraduates completed the SBQ and other measures. Results indicated the SBQ's strength lay in two areas: internal consistency and test-retest reliability over a two-week time period. (RJM)
Descriptors: Behavior Disorders, College Students, Comparative Analysis, Evaluation
Peer reviewedSimon, Walter T.; Schouten, Peter G. – Journal of Interpersonal Violence, 1992
Describes current phallometric test practices in relation to criminal justice, and community responses to these cases. Concludes that the available research evidence does not offer clear support for the use of phallometric data in clinical and legal decision-making processes, particularly with respect to men who have not admitted offenses. (RJM)

Peer reviewedDalebout, Susan D.; And Others – Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools, 1991
Twelve children (ages 7-8) with attention deficit hyperactive disorder were administered the Selective Auditory Attention Test twice: after the administration of methylphenidate and after the administration of a placebo. Results revealed no simple drug effect but a strong order effect. (Author/JDD)
Descriptors: Attention, Attention Control, Attention Deficit Disorders, Auditory Stimuli
Peer reviewedYarbrough, Donald B. – Innovative Higher Education, 1992
This article reviews the literature addressing uses of the American College Testing College Outcome Measures Program (ACT COMP), the most frequently used standardized measure of cognitive general education outcomes.
