Examined sex differences in occupational attitudes in two samples of poor minority group members. Differences regularly isolated in studies of whites were not evident. In both samples, rankings of preferences for work-related outcomes of males and females were remarkably similar. (Author)

The generalizability of Holland's characterizations of adults within the occupational categories was investigated in a group of 402 Mexican-Americans. The personality characteristics of the male groups provide strong support for the generalizability of Holland's characterizations to Mexican-American males. (Author)

Decomposed matrix games were used to study interethnic competition in the triethnic school system of a southwestern city. The sample consisted of sixth-grade males from segregated schools. A group of college males who had reported themselves unable to interact with women were contacted and asked to record every interaction for a week. Following this period a series of behavioral tests was given. After pretesting shy subjects were randomly assigned to a control group or a treatment group. Treatment improved social skills.
