Caretakers of 100 Foster Family Care (FFC) homes were interviewed to assess demographic characteristics, relationship with sponsoring agency, family-nature of the home, and community recation. Although some programmatic difficulties emerged, residents appear well integrated and caretakers report much personal satisfaction. (Author)

Questionnaires from 225 homosexual and 233 heterosexual adult women revealed 115 cases of rape or attempted rape. Data from 78 follow-up questionnaires are summarized. About the same proportion of lesbians and heterosexuals, age 16 or over, were the object of rape. Inferences are drawn about the rapists' attitudes toward women. (Author)

This study investigated effects of receiving results of the Kuder Occupational Interest Survey on several aspects of vocational behavior among high school students. It was found that receiving results increased self-knowledge compared to a control group who received none. Implications for guidance programs in the schools are discussed. (Author)

Expressed vocational choices were more predictive of employment status four years after high school graduation for males than were scores on either the Vocational Preference Inventory or the Kuder Preference Record--Vocational. The relationships between the 37 pairs of same-named Occupational scales for men and women on the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory were studied for 1044 female and 1134 male college freshmen. Contrary to prior expectations, the use of the cross-sex scales reinforces sexual stereotypes. (Author)
