Examined angry conflict incidents in a sample of 108 children ages 7 to 11, focusing on relations of anger-related internal and behavioral reactions to children's social functioning. Children in grades one through six were categorized based on sociometric data, and ratings of peer liking were analyzed. Lattimore, Pamela K.; And Others – Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, 1995
Analyzes youthful parolees' risk of arrest for a violent crime. Results suggest that prior criminal history and socioeconomic variables are powerful predictors of both the timing and the charge of first arrest following parole. Prior gang involvement and heavy use of alcohol or drugs did not predict violent recidivism. (RJM)
