The major finding of this study is that there is a larger socioeconomic status or Negro-White difference on intelligence measures than on measures of rote learning and memory. The difference in the performance of Negro and White children increases with age. (EH)

A total of 93 preschool children viewed either aggressive, prosocial, or neutral programs for four weeks. Observations of behavior before and after the viewing indicated that aggressive children showed increased aggression after watching aggressive programs; prosocial programs increased prosocial behavior. Demonstrates that Mon (merchant group) villagers, despite their cultural similarity to other Thais, are less strongly linked into the networks of villagers in which they trade.
