The influence of spatial features of the counseling environment on conditioning of self-reference statements was examined in two studies conducted at disparate geographical locations. The variable of room size was found to be the most significant variable in both studies. Smaller rooms tended to inhibit the conditioning process. (Author)

This paper presents a procedure called multiple matrix sampling which simplifies data collection for drug incidence surveys. Advantages for the use of multiple matrix sampling with drug surveys are discussed and a practical example is outlined presenting the guidelines for a sampling plan. (Author)

A survey using two sample groups examined differences between older and younger employees in levels of satisfaction derived from an "enriched" job. Findings of the second sample tend to refute popular stereotypes that suggest older employees place more importance on extrinsic rewards than do younger employees. (Author)

Investigates the construct validity of the Hill Interaction Matrix--Form B, a 64-item instrument designed to assess preferred modes of interaction in group settings. The relation between three cognitive ability factors and three personality dimensions were examined in three age groups. Subjects were 969 male volunteers ranging in age from 25 to 82. While personality has some influence on cognitive performance, declines with age in performance on some cognitive tasks are not mediated by personality. (Author)
