This study investigated a simulation game designed to improve relationship communication. Eight couples were treated for relationship difficulties by the use of the game. Results indicate that in the counseling session sample the couples' communication improved. (Author)

This study tests the accuracy of current consensus that physical and economic consequences of crime are greater for the elderly than for other age groups. A study investigating the relative success of different methods of outreach was conducted with a sample of 210 low-income elderly. The results significantly demonstrate that a home visit is a more effective method of initial contact than personal letter or telephone call. (Author)

Touhey has suggested that an influx of women into high-status, male-dominated professions will result in declining prestige and desirability for those professions. Modified version of the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test was anonymously given to 245 college students on two Midwestern university campuses. Cutoff score for suspected drug abuse was set at five points. The percent of students scoring five or more points was 25 and 22 from campuses A and B respectively. (Author)

This study investigated differences between students living in expanded-occupancy quarters (three per room) and in normal-occupancy conditions (two per room) in regard to their satisfaction with residence hall life and grade point average.
