The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of two methods of instruction, experiential training and didactic training, in facilitating the acquisition of several desirable teacher behaviors. Evaluated the effects of 14 months' exposure to open space environments on preference for delayed reward. Three hundred eighty-nine pupils in open space and conventional classes were administered tests for delay of gratification. Approximately the same percent of pupils from each educational environment selected the delayed alternative. (Author)

The study found that counseled students graduated at a higher rate within four years and use of either service was associated with a reduced rate of leaving in bad standing, grade point average below 2.0. The study compared the arrays of high-interest occupations produced by the Strong and the Kuder. A frequency percentage count showed 85 percent of the pairs of summary codes had two identical characteristics, and some support was found for Holland's hexagon.
