Examined the effects of selected group experiences from the Human Development Program (HDP) on the self-concept of sixth-grade pupils. HDP is a semi-structured, flexible and open-ended developmental curriculum in the area of affective education. Results indicate that HDP is a valuable guidance tool. (Author)

Tests the utility of two models for explaining contraceptive use by sexually active women (N=391). Significant relationships were found between use and permissive premarital standards and standard-behavior consistency. Research shows a relationship between diagnoses of schizophrenia among twins. It was studied whether information that a twin was schizophrenic would bias diagnoses. Such information almost doubled the rater's estimates of probability of schizophrenia in a hypothetical case history. (NG)

Taking multidimensional life satisfaction as the basic premise of this study, a four-equation multiple regression model was constructed for its prediction. Results indicated that the pattern of regressor influence varied greatly between equations, providing fairly specific evidence on a number of previously espoused hypotheses. (Author)
