Heck, Ronald H.; Price, Carol L.; Thomas, Scott L. – American Journal of Education, 2004

Zhu, Zheng – International Education Journal, 2007
A review of literature reveals that self-efficacy (SE) has been shown as a successful predictor of students' course-taking. As the college admissions process has gotten much more competitive, the number of high school students taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses has soared. Hodkinson, Phil – Journal of Education and Work, 1998
A study of four people enrolled in General National Vocational Qualifications courses shows that career and educational choices are constrained by culture and by issues of status and prestige.
