The exchange of self-disclosures was studied in a experimental setting and was found to function in a manner consistent with social exchange theory in both male and female groups of strangers. A positive relationship was found to exist between self disclosure and liking patterns. (Author)

Media therapy is a systematic video program in behavior change for psychiatric patients. Patients engage in short videotaped interactions with a consultant-facilitator. These interactions then are viewed, and the patient with consultant help identifies specific behavior that he would like to change. (Author)
