Students who wish to get bad grades should daydream, not read their textbooks or study manuals, avoid note taking, and procrastinate on assignments. This "manual" is used in an introductory psychology class to modify students' habits and change mediocre classroom behavior. (CS)

Interviews, with 80 persons married five years or less, showed considerable variation in first-year frequencies with few normative guidelines. Explored the nature of cohesion in groups formed to affect personal change. Members (N=227) of eight therapy groups completed the Three Factor Group Questionnaire. Results suggested risk-taking, attraction to individual group members, and the instrumental value of the group were all related to group cohesion. (Author/JAC)

A social skills program focusing on inhibition training, problem-solving training, and prescriptive skill training for 12 emotionally distrubed students (9 to 13 years old) resulted in a marked decrease in impulsive, inappropriate actions and verbalizations.
