Reported is a significant correlation between book carrying behavior and sex stereotype which appear to be a consequence of social modeling. Second grade and older males typically carry books at their sides while females carry books against their chests. Kindergarten and first grade students typically carry books by their sides. (SL)

The development and implementation of a music therapy program to achieve behavioral change in visually impaired children and adolescents are described. In this study of 320 children, males valued their bodies more than females and there was an increase in the body evaluations from the third grade to the sixth grade. Black children placed higher values on their bodies than White children did on theirs. (Author/MP)

The different responses of introverts and extraverts to two types of helper nonverbal attending were examined. Subjects were 26 introverts and 26 extraverts, as defined by Eysenck and Eysenck's questionnaire. Introverts rated the listener higher than did extraverts, independent of his posture. (Author)
