Children viewed a television segment that included humorous or nonhumorous inserts paced either at slow or fast intervals, or an uninterrupted program. Impact of information about behaviors, labels, psychotherapy and sex of hypothetical pupils on teachers' expectations of present and future school functioning was investigated. A model of reading comprehension focuses on eye fixations, which are related to the level of reading processes--words, clauses, and text units.
