The school district's interactive cable television network allows students and instructors at different schools to communicate. The public may view school programs through their community cable TV system, which provides many community awareness opportunities. Videotape exchanges are also conducted with students in other states and countries. (SJL)

The Southeastern Michigan League of Community Colleges (SEMLCC) developed a system that would provide placement services for graduates by collecting local job market data and that would help the colleges evaluate curriculum against the needs of the business community. University managers of academic outreach need outstanding skills in communication, persuasion, and negotiation to win and maintain active faculty/administrator support for outreach activities.
