Gifted students frequently experience self-doubt, boredom, frustration, and social isolation or ridicule from peers. The attitudes of elementary and junior high school students toward school and toward seven subjects were investigated, as a function of grade level and sex. It was concluded that attitudes decline in higher grades, sex differences are reflected in attitudes, and negative attitudes exist toward social studies. (MH)
