The findings of this study indicated that the IQ of the under-privileged adult is changeable. When appropriate instruction and guidance inputs are provided, adults of limited education can improve their IQ." (Author)

Psychological test reports are different from traditional medical reports of laboratory examinations in that they less simply report findings than they describe people in ways which are likely to lead to actions beneficial to these people. Some principles of writing test reports from this point of view are included. (Author)

Phenomena of clustering and subjective organization in free recall are defined by recall-order consistency, which is assumed to reflect the organization a subject imposes upon material he is required to memorize. Contiguity of experience ("thinking" about items together) is proposed as the dominant force underlying this consistency. (Author/FWB)

Tested the discrimination of the MMPI Beall-Panton escape index by applying it to a sample of minimum security incarcerated female felons. The index did not differentiate significantly between escapees and nonescapees. Differentiation between the groups did occur when MMPI clinical and validity scales were considered separately. A class of oblique rotation procedures is proposed to rotate a pattern matrix so that it optimally resembles a matrix that has an exact simple pattern. It is demonstrated that the method can recover relatively complex simple structures where other simple structure rotation techniques fail. (SLD)

The Decisional Process Inventory is a Gestalt theory-based measure of career decision-making and level of career indecision. Results from a sample of 183 undergraduates supported its content, construct, and concurrent validity. (SK)

The Career Decision Profile can be used by counselors to explore a client's career indecision, screen for readiness, determine services needed, and evaluate outcomes. A survey of five counselors identified reasons why The Profile is or is not being used. (SK)

Study uses confirmatory factor analysis to assess four models of the Hong Psychological Reactance Scale (HPRS) and attempts to provide psychometric information about the subscales.
