Compared the mathematics attitudes of ninth grade girls of similar intellect who subsequently took 1 to 4 years of college preparatory math in 1975 and 1978 (N=84). Interviewed urban, Black respondents (N=122), aged 51 to 90, about their religious practices and beliefs. Results were analyzed using a multidimensional scale.
