Infants were observed at 10, 12, and 14 1/2 months to test whether social interaction among infant peers develops as a by-product of object-centered play. Age differences were noted. Learning disabled and nondisabled children (in grades 3 through 5) were videotaped while being administered a standardized interview by a young adult female. In general, it was found that observers judged learning disabled children more harshly than nondisabled youngsters. (Author)
