Considered were the behaviors relevant to friendship and how best to teach them while at the same time providing positive experiences for clients. The results of this study appear to support the feasibility of using a programmed procedure for learning interpersonal skills. Subjective reactions by counselors and students were favorable. "Self-Discovery" is an innovative health education curriculum for secondary schools that stresses development of cognitive/affective skills and practice in self-directed behavior. A study evaluated the impact of five years' exposure to a dental health curriculum on the oral hygiene of fifth-grade students.
