The hypothesis that a link exists between a female teacher's sex-role ideology and her expression of sexuality in the classroom was tested. The classroom behavior of three female high school teachers, with traditional, ambivalent, and androgenous sex-role ideologies, was studied using ethnographic observation methods. (AM)

Studies of preschool indicate that: (1) valid and reliable measures of the environment are possible; (2) environments vary across programs; and (3) there is a relationship between the environment and development of children in those environments.
