A study involving 2,147 Hong Kong college students found the prevalence rate for child sexual abuse was 6%, with higher rates for females. Compared to Western data, results indicate lower rates for more intimate forms of sexual abuse. Also, Chinese victims were more reluctant to disclose victimization than Westerners.
