The data seem to indicate that there is less role conflict between and among disciplines that are oriented exclusively to a school as compared with services that may embrace more than one school and have some community orientations. The utility of the paradigm merits further exploration. (Author)

While playing a game of strategy, nineteen groups of two black and two white seventh and eighth grade boys, otherwise similar, were systematically observed by black and white observers both, using a schedule derived from status characteristic theory. (JM)

Four mechanisms of social control are analyzed in relationship to a typology of school staffs which in several respects resemble primary groups. Findings suggest the co-variation of structures of colleague relations and colleague social controls in elementary schools. (Author)

Analysis of computer-run personal data indicates that perceptions are affected by personal characteristics and environment, and that interaction of all three in motivation to remain in seminary is extremely complex. Suggests direction of future research. (CJ)

Describes a method for systematically recording the process of family therapy (the Focal Therapy Record Sheet), which demands a conceptual distinction between assessment of families and treatment techniques.
