The rebirth of geometry is predicted in the coming years as the pendulum swings back from extreme devotion to structure, abstraction, and generality. (MP)

The status and nature of geometry as presently taught in English secondary schools is examined. An almost total absence of deductive geometry was found, with many topics such as topology, vectors, coordinates, and transformations introduced but not covered in depth. (MP)

This study tested the relative efficacy of two modes of instruction, individual and traditional, for promoting learning and retention of selected geometrical concepts.
