The need for student part-time employment to defray educational expenses led to the establishment of the Job Locator and Development program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Residency programs in six medical specialties were surveyed to examine the frequency and kinds of psychosocial support offered to residents. Classroom interaction patterns between male and female students perceived as either high or low achievers were examined in the fall, winter, and spring.
