Intergenerationality and the Age-Inclusive Early Learning Center
Marian White-Hood
Childhood Education, v100 n4 p66-68 2024
As a retired educator, the author had been wondering how to make meaningful changes in their life. Marian White-Hood made a commitment to join the owner [of the new child care center] in her pursuit of intergenerational inclusivity. How do children learn their history, language, values, social emotions, or agency? Do children magically absorb the core values of the learning space? As the pages of the author's new chapter began turning, they came to understand the center owner's vision to create a multi-demographic learning center.
