Conspiracy in America: Recognizing and Confronting Assaults on Our Democracy
Muirhead, Russell; Rosenblum, Nancy L.
American Educator, v46 n3 p32-37 Fall 2022
The authors' 2019 book, "A Lot of People Are Saying: The New Conspiracism and the Assault on Democracy," is their effort to make sense of the startling appearance of conspiracy charges enveloping American politics. In this article, they expand on that discussion of the ways conspiracy allegations threaten democracy, and describe the essential role of educators in helping students learn to critically evaluate such claims.
