Education in the Asia-Pacific Region: Issues, Concerns and Prospects
The relevance of this research is determined by the growing importance of new skills influenced by the sectoral dynamics of the textile industry in Central Asia. The textile industry is one of the vital sectors of the global economy undergoing deep technological advancement. It has special importance for the progress of emerging economies. Globalization has opened up markets and extended their geographical boundaries. Together with technology trends, these strongly influence the labor market and the skills required. The Fourth Industrial Revolution and its implementation in the textile sector are changing employee skills and knowledge requirements. Central Asian countries have the potential for growth and development in various sectors of the textile industry. Central Asia is faced with the need to improve lifelong learning for the employees of the textile sector because of significant investments in the newest technologies for new and modernized production facilities. Knowledge-intensive domestic and foreign investments in the textile sector have shifted the need for new skills. Long-life learning programs should adapt professionals in the textile sector to new foundational, interpersonal, and digital skills with high-level and complex cognitive and technical functions. This research reflects different aspects of lifelong learning in the textile industry in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. An integrated approach is applied to analyze the problems of retraining personnel in the light industry of Central Asia. The research analyzes the advantages and challenges of lifelong learning in the textile industry and highlights the main characteristics of lifelong learning in the textile industry in Central Asia.
