With the backdrop of the pandemic, rise of anti-Asian hate, and mental health crises, we came together in 2020 to resist returning to "business as usual" and manifest radical love to build toward hopefulness. With Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Praxis of Critical Race Love (PCRL) as our theoretical framework, we share our mixed-method research through the lens of Critical Race Ethnography (CRE) with data, artifacts, and counternarratives as first-generation and multi-generation APIDAs navigating our community college in unprecedented times. Through the symbolic representation of "boba therapy," we call for the continued cultivation of a third space of safety beyond the home and academic work spaces to stand in solidarity, find connections, build community, and be grounded in love for each other.
