Role of Cooperation in Youth Development with the Help of Higher Education
Education in the Asia-Pacific Region: Issues, Concerns and Prospects
The research aims to identify the key challenges facing today's youth and determine how cooperative organizations can better support and engage with youth in a way that addresses their mutual interests and needs in the current and rapidly changing social and economic environment. The authors analyze the main problems facing today's youth and ways to solve them based on direct participation in surveys of young people from Russia (Russian University of Cooperation), as well as data collected from primary material using surveys in 20 countries worldwide (Europe, Africa, Asia, and America). The research focuses on answering the question of how cooperatives can address the major problems facing young people and how cooperatives can help with this. The proposed key findings and recommendations can be used in global policy, advocacy, and operational activities of the International Cooperative Alliance and the cooperative movement, as well as in the educational and practical activities of cooperatives in Russia.
