This historical review of the functions and objectives of the junior college concludes that identity is the greatest problem of the junior college. (MS)

Education of small children should be approached with the objectives of instilling in them the qualities on which the good life depends, i.e., generosity, individualism, an appreciation of, and desire for, freedom, and many other like traits. (CK)

All that higher education can do is to provide a limited number of people with an opportunity to develop their intellect and encourage them to move into society and attempt to solve some of the problems we face. Any effort to provide every young American with a college degree will result in failure. (CK)

The Bloom Taxonomy of Educational Objectives is criticized because its distinctions between cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains are invalid; its categories are ill-defined and do not denote homogenous types of objectives; its structural base is inconsistent; and it is debatable whether it is a true taxonomy.
