Fifty-three Down's syndrome (DS) and 45 other retarded 11-year-old children (with approximately 50 percent non-Caucasian children in each group) were rated on two Sonoma Check Lists in London, England. Examines the validity of a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory code type interpretive program. Results showed the system was highly rated by three independent experienced clinicians. Assessed the relationship of a measure of self-efficacy to posttreatment smoking status in 74 adults. End-of-treatment self-efficacy scores were significantly correlated with follow-up smoking status at 3-month and 6-month follow-up, but not at 1 year.
