Stakhovych, Stanislav; Bijmolt, Tammo H. A.; Wedel, Michel – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 2012
In this article, we present a Bayesian spatial factor analysis model. We extend previous work on confirmatory factor analysis by including geographically distributed latent variables and accounting for heterogeneity and spatial autocorrelation. The simulation study shows excellent recovery of the model parameters and demonstrates the consequences…

Values were elicited spontaneously from a sample of undergraduates and adults attending college, and were compared to Rokeach's terminal and instrumental values. Multidimensional scaling revealed a simpler structure among spontaneously mentioned values than Rokeach's values. (JKS)

A slightly refined version of Elizur's 2-facetted theory on the structure of work values is investigated in this study. Two representative samples of West German adults were asked to rate the importance of work outcomes. Findings confirmed Elizur's radex structure. (Author/LMO)

To examine the magnitude/nature of short-term fluctuations in work values, seven college students completed the Work Values Inventory daily for approximately 100 days. Results of factor analysis cast doubt on the hypothesis that work values behave exclusively as trait-like dimensions and recommend better use of idiographic approaches. (TJH)
