When compared with traditional forms of teacher preparation, the structuring of teaching into microteaching techniques resulted in more effective teaching by a group of home economics student teachers in this study. Such structuring appeared successful regardless of certain demographic variables among the student teachers. (Editor/BC)

A study was undertaken to investigate the effectiveness of live model v videotape presentations in home economics education relative to student achievement and performance.
