Administered the Survey of Reading Attitudes to 235 intermediate-grade students in a suburban parochial school. Results indicate the development of reading attitudes is influenced by a variety of variables, and suggests school systems should determine their own local norms for the eight dimensions measured by the survey. Normative data for the Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised were derived empirically using a sample of 50 volunteers between 25 and 34 years of age, who matched U.S. Census data on demographic characteristics.
