Describes a high school summer program in field ecology designed to give students a first-hand understanding of their own biotic environment, to acquaint them with the organisms, relationships, and complexities of local habitats, and to introduce them to the methods and techniques of discovering and gathering information about nature. The course outlines presented in this report are intended to be used to teach astrophysics to nonscience majors at the junior and senior college level. An extensive set of notes are included which can be useful to an instructor as guidelines for presentation. Additional equipment and references for use in teaching astrophysics are suggested. (SA)
