The empirical structure of the item set from the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems was examined in the context of the interpersonal circumplex and Big Five factors of personality using results from 1,093 undergraduates. Prevalence estimates of psychiatric disorders in 10-year-old rural Norwegian children were based on responses to symptom checklists distributed to parents and teachers.
