Student Satisfaction with Faculty Advisors in an Intrusive Advising Program.

The procedures involved in implementing an intrusive advising program at Emporia State University are described. The findings reported are based on a questionnaire designed to assess the effectiveness of the program, including some comments from students who participated. (Author/MLW)

The Ursinus College Freshman Advising Program.

Ursinus College introduced a new Freshman Advising Program at the beginning of the 1982-83 academic year. The program called on specially trained faculty to play a greatly expanded role as mentor-advisors. Student evaluations of freshman advising are discussed. (MLW)
