Carolina Alcantar-Nieblas; Leonardo David Glasserman-Morales; Ernesto Armando Pacheco-Velazquez; Sergio Augusto Ramírez Echeverri – Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education, 2025
Purpose: The present study examined the psychometric properties of the EGame-flow scale in a Mexican sample, presenting evidence of construct validity (exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis), reliability (Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega) and discriminant validity (mean variance extracted). Design/methodology/approach:…

Wafa Mohammed Aldighrir; Fatima's Mohamed Asiri – Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 2025
Background: As educational institutions increasingly operate as multicultural hubs, leaders must navigate the complexities of cultural differences, language barriers and diverse learning styles in digital environments. These challenges are amplified by the lack of non-verbal cues and the asynchronous nature of online communication, which can lead…

Lin, Hsin-Hui; Wang, Yu-Yin; Wang, Yi-Shun; Wang, Yu-Min – Interactive Learning Environments, 2020
The psychological effects of information technology (IT) use have been widely reported and assessed in the literature. However, although concerns are growing regarding the potential physiological impacts of IT use on the health of IT users, assessment of this issue is currently hampered by the lack of an appropriate information-system (IS)…

Youngjohn, James R.; And Others – 1991
Test-retest reliabilities and practice effect magnitudes were considered for nine computer-simulated tasks of everyday cognition and five traditional neuropsychological tests. The nine simulated everyday memory tests were from the Memory Assessment Clinic battery as follows: (1) simple reaction time while driving; (2) divided attention (driving…

Peer reviewedEiting, Mindert H. – Applied Psychological Measurement, 1991
A method is proposed for sequential evaluation of reliability of psychometric instruments. Sample size is unfixed; a test statistic is computed after each person is sampled and a decision is made in each stage of the sampling process. Results from a series of Monte-Carlo experiments establish the method's efficiency. (SLD)
