Salvia, John; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1975
Inspection of the 1972 revised norms for the Stanford-Binet demonstrate that the average mental age for a particular chronological age (CA) no longer numerically corresponds to that CA. Thus, mental ages derived from the test cannot any longer be interpreted as mental ages. A table of test ages based on the 1972 norms is provided. (Author)

O'Neill, Audrey Myerson – 1993
The clinical inference process in test interpretation is described so that people can more easily communicate about it, teach it, and learn it. Chapter 1 compares different levels (concrete, mechanical, and individualized) of interpretation of the same test. Chapter 2 offers examples of an often-neglected kind of data necessary for individualized…

Meeker, Mary; Meeker, Robert – Journal of School Psychology, 1973
This study questions the use of a general IQ score as a basis for conclusions relating to studies of intelligence, especially with minority children. Instead, it looks at item-responses from Stanford-Binet tests. Using Guilford's Structure of Intellect Model applied to organismic responses, the authors tallied the item responses. (Author/LA)

The association between Lewis M. Terman and the World Book Company is traced in order to gain insight about the role of test publishing in the testing movement. Keith, Timothy Z.; And Others – 1988
The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale: Fourth Edition is a conceptually new version of this traditional intelligence scale. The new scale has a solid basis in theory, but there is little evidence that the Binet matches its intended theory. This study was designed to determine whether the Binet corresponds to the theory that guided its…
